Bio
Greetings Panther Family! My name is Ms. Andrea Lewis. This is my 15th year teaching elementary school students. During this year, I will be educating the Seniors of the school, 5th graders as we "LEAD THE WAY" by thinking outside the box,
Education Background
As a lifelong learner, my continuous education and professional learning mean a great deal to me in order to make sure that I am providing the best education possible for my students. Therefore, I have earned a bachelor’s degree from Macon State University, my master’s degree from Walden University, and lastly, I received my Education Specialist Degree from Georgia Southwestern University. In addition, I also have my Teacher Support Coach Endorsement.
Educator Philosophy
As an educator, I aspire to create student-centered learning environments. Throughout my teaching years, my classroom goals have always been and still are focused on the specific needs of my students. I work hard to differentiate learning so that each student’s unique skills are emphasized. In addition, I insist on challenging work and focus on the tasks at hand. I set high expectations and standards by promoting growth mindsets among my students. All my students know that I expect them to try their hardest and strive for improvement every day.
With motivation, encouragement, and tireless effort, this year using technology, innovation, hard work, patience, and collaboration, I am expecting and believing that my students will be successful and ready to achieve all their dreams.
My thoughts at the beginning of each school term are implanted, “LET’S HAVE A GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!!!”
