Coach Whitaker joined the Morningside family in 2016. He was born and raised in Fort Valley, GA and is a a graduate of Peach County high school. He completed his Health and Physical Education Degree at Georgia Southwestern State University. Coach Whitaker also has a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Columbus State.
His teaching career started in Americus where he taught at Staley Middle School and Sumter County Intermediate School. He also coached football, baseball, and softball during his time in Americus.
Coach Whitaker is married to his lovely wife Laura who works for the Taylor County School system as a School Counselor and they have a beautiful daughter named Liza and a handsome son named Neal.
