Mrs. Jenkins was born and raised in Northeast Florida. After graduating from high school, she received an associate's degree from Florida State College. She later attended the University of North Florida and received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language. Additionally, Mrs. Jenkins has earned an endorsement in Reading and Gifted Education. In 2023, Mrs. Jenkins earned her Master's degree in Elementary Education from the American College of Education. She is passionate about advocating for gifted and talented learners and teaching students to be critical thinkers! Mrs. Jenkins started her career in Florida.

Mrs. Jenkins moved to Houston County in 2018 and has taught at Morningside Elementary School ever since. In 2023, Mrs. Jenkins was named Morningside Elementary School's Teacher of the Year and was announced as a part of the Top Five Finalists for Teachers of the Year for Houston County. Panther PRIDE!

Mrs. Jenkins resides in Houston County with her husband and two dogs.
